Xbox 360 restart issue.

So I bought a pair of turtle beach headset from Gamestop. Since it wouldn't work on my 360, I had to buy a gamestop branded HD Audio analong adapter.

It works great. The problem is that when I change my HDMI source, say that I pause the game and want to watch some TV. When I switch back to the HDMI source for my 36o, the 360 restarts itself.

I have no idea why this is happening. Everything else is working fine but I can't change the source without the 360 restarting itself and it is irritating.

Can someone actually help me with this?

That's weird I can switch between Fios and my Xbox just fine. I can actaully listen to both thru my turtle Beaches just fine. Weird...

I thought that was designed to work with the 360.. you dont need the adapter....

Ah, I have the old Elite, I don't have that problem. Well if u ever accidently unplug the hdmi cable the xbox restarts anyway, so maybe the adapter interferes with it when you switch to television somehow? Either way just make sure to save before watching TV:D

Wait I just rememembered something, some TVs (like mine) actually have audio outputs for the HDMI ports just for things like that, I'm guessing yours doesn't though...

I'm having the exact same problem and I cant seem to find any solution to this! I use my XBOX and PC on the same t.v so I end up switcing between them always, I've got the X12's turtle beaches. Its very inconvinient that my xbox slimresets itself whiles im gaming :x
