Has anyone had problem with their screen randomly going blank for a couple seconds while playing their xbox 360? I found this video on Youtube and this is exactly what it looks like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9d0wTaXrVI

Mine has done it but I am pretty sure it's my TV not the box. I suspect this as it happens every once in awhile as well with my dvd player on the same TV, and never happens when I am using my xbox on a different tv.

The problem started ever since I just purchased a new lcd tv, and it hasn't happened on my other tvs, so you might be right. I was hoping it wasn't a tv problem because the TV in the youtube video is a different model and make than the one I have. And I have to say the video shows exactly what I am experiencing.

Also I haven't noticed it with my PS3 or cable tv box, only my 360.

Hmm after watching the video it is not identical to mine, but pretty similar. First off mine does not occur anywhere near enough for me to be able to catch it on video. It just flashes to blank for probably 2 seconds once every 2 weeks or so. I take it yours must be much more frequent than that?

edit: I am guessing your xbox is the only thing hooked up through component? I only say that as the only items on my tv that ever have this happen are hooked up via component (360 and dvd). The other monitor I use with a VGA cable and have no problems...trying to narrow it down. For example if it truly is the component connection then a VGA connection may work.

Yes. Most of the time it takes 10 minutes of play before it starts happening. Once it did it twice while in the xbox 360 startup screen. And when it does it, it seems to be as often as the video shows. Then it stop for a little while, and starts doing it randomly again. Kinda sucks because I just got GTA 4 and I don't want to send it to MS for a couple weeks to get repaired.

Yes it is the only device hooked up with component cables. Everything else is hdmi. Too bad my 360 doesn't have hdmi because it is too old. I wonder if buying a vga will fix it

I guess I could try hooking it up with the yellow RCA video cable so see if it is a component problem.
