Xbox 360 Slim has a crappy case!

Why did Microsoft choose to use a plastic case that will scratch easily? I hated it on the original PS3 and now I have to baby the crap out of my new Xbox 360 slim. I can see scratches on the case as soon as light hits it at a certain angle and I just barely took it out of the box! Scratches str8 from retail! Booo Microsoft!!!

Personally I love matte cases more than these glossy finger print lover cases but maybe it's more appealing to mainstream consumers.red-ray

Why does it matter? It's a video game system. You're supposed to play it, not stare at it.

Seconded, seriously, just put it in place and leave it alone, you don't have to touch it to turn it on or off, and you don't have to touch it to open and close the disc tray.

I do wonder sometimes how people scatch hardware cassings to the point it ruins its finish do you keep yours in basket with a dog???

they made the black glossy case so people would want to get a white one which MS will release later, lol

Uhm, First of all if you get scratches on your new xbox right after you take it out of the box you don't need an xbox anyway. You need to take care of it, put it somewhere that it will not be messed with by anyone but you. That means that out in the floor is not where you want to put your xbox.

I really wonder what some people on here do to their game systems. Mine came out of the box, went on it's shelf. Other than occasionally wiping it with a Swiffer to get rid of the dust I don't touch it. It still looks brand new, no scratches, and shiny as a new car.

It is rumored that they might make one but its not 100% yet. Look on google for one because there is a new slim white 360 but there is only one from what I know.

All consoles come in crappy cases, it's cheaper to produce. And how did you manage to scratch your system? SAGE_OF_FIRE

I've opened several 360's in my day and I've yet to see one scratched. I doubt MS had anything to do with it, complain to the company who handled your 360.

The case will be fine if you look after it , nobody needs to touch the case too much anyway so why would it get scratched unless you are cleaning the dust off it with sandpaper lolol

you know how console makers are, Instead of releaseing multiple colors to choose they wait severalyears to release one new color to get the buzz back going.
