Greeting forum!,
There has been some rumors around that the new Xbox 360 slim doesnt get the red rings? If this is true I would get a new xbox considering mine is broken currently.
What do you guys think?

i really do hope that microsoft has learnt something from history and has changed what needed to be changed. i may have to buy a new xbox 360 slim console myself because my current arcade console is on the verge of the red ring of death. i don't know what i am going to do with 250gb of space if i do own one because i am still telling myself i will probably not get on xbox live.

Arcades are always on the verge of RROD, also what do you mean you probably won't login to xbox live?
You could use the data either way. Downloading games to your HDD and ripping music cd's to it so you can listen to your music and game.i really do hope that microsoft has learnt something from history and has changed what needed to be changed. i may have to buy a new xbox 360 slim console myself because my current arcade console is on the verge of the red ring of death. i don't know what i am going to do with 250gb of space if i do own one because i am still telling myself i will probably not get on xbox live.

My arcade was made 11/11/2007. And it still runs fine. I sold mine to a friend because I bought my Xbox 360 S. But still my old Arcade is running great.[QUOTE="Stevo7991"][QUOTE="unwashedflyer"]

Well, I guess some older models can last a bit long, as long as you treat it right. Some people just don't treat their systems good, thats how things fail.[QUOTE="unwashedflyer"]

what i meant by saying that was i might not be a member and just do offline gaming. but there could be a stronger possiblility of becoming a user of xbox live with buying one of those new slim xbox 360s because it makes a bit more sense.

yeah. i think i realise that the reason why my console is almost useless is because i have been using it to charge my mp3 player and one night i left it on for about twelve hours while i slept. that is what must have caused the overheating.
Advice: Do NOT leave it sitting vertical. I'm on my 3rd replacement, and now it's sitting horizontal w/o any problems. When I did leave it vertical, both 360's (slim) weren't able to read from the DVD drive.

Yeah man, I took very good care of my Xbox. I always had VCR tapes under it. I laid it horizontally, the VCR tapes let the bottom vents breath nicely.[QUOTE="unwashedflyer"][QUOTE="Stevo7991"] Well, I guess some older models can last a bit long, as long as you treat it right.
