I've had the 360 since November 2006 and never had any problems with it. A few days ago i was playing halo 2 and the screen turned light green every once in a while. Then a couple days later it stayed green for all games/dashboard. I played with the cables, plugging the system into different ports/two other TVs. After plugging it into a different TV, the screen turned black and has stayed black ever since. I thought it was most definitely the cables, since the sound was still working, but when my brother's friend brought over his cables, the problem was still there. I'm hopefully taking my 360 to the store tomorrow; do they HAVE to send it in or just give you a new xbox and let you keep the harddrive if it isn't the cables?? And what are your suggestions on the problem?

Call MS support, only take to the store if the warranty from the store is covering it. Call MS just to see what the problem is...

Try switching the A/V pack where it connects to the console from HDTV mode to TV mode.
