Xbox 360 Using a LCD Monitor and Logitech Speakers

I am looking to get a new 360 as Old one died on my 2 months ago :(

Was wondering if anyone new a way to hook it up to my 24inch LCD which supports 1080p

so was thinking HDMI to DVI lead and then getting some Logitech 5.1 speakers for like £60 and hooking them up how do I do that though any ideas people, does the new xbox's come with some kind of audio lead?

I run this setup , I use hdmi DVI to connect 360 to monitor and for audio I use my comp speakers i connected by using a 3.5mm stero splitter cable ( 3.5mm Female, 2 RCA Female connectors ) I use the vga cables that came with the 360 and connect the spliiter to the audio plugs on the vga cable and connect my speakers to the 3.5mm female end og the cable. setting it up this way though theres a problem the hdmi dvi cable will not conect when you have the vga cable pluged in because it covers up the hdmi port solution to this was i took the plastic off the vga cable and was able to fit it in.

What he said, But I use the VGA Cables, and Prefere them.

Are those Logitech speakers the X-530 model by any chance?

If so or not, I highly recommend getting the Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers, I use 'em & they sound gorgeous.. excellent value for money too at only £60

I have my 360 connected to my monitor with the VGA cable and have the sound connected to some PC speakers via an adapter. Its easy to find these parts.

I would rather not run the sound through the laptop I kinda wanted to keep them seperate, like just turn the xbox on and the speakers and crack on.

I have heard that if you use the VGA cable thing u can plug the audio jacks into a mini hifi speaker system, is there not any speakers where i could just plug the audio jacks staright into the speakers or would I need like some kind of home theartre system to do that???

can you give us the exact model of the monitor.

HDMI-DVI doesn't allow for transfer of audio as far as i know, which only leaves you with the option of connecting the speakers to the xbox and not the monitor. aww this is always so confusing. mine was easy seeing as though my monitor had HDMI input and i have the logitech Z-5500's which have plenty of inputs. Honestly your best bet is making a quick rough diagram of what you want to do and head down to your local audio visual store and try and figure out the adaptors with a sales person. unfortuanatly adaptors can be a real pain to figure out.
