I got the cables to hook up my monitor to my 360, but the graphics are pretty bad, so was wondering if there are settings I need to fix on my 360. And I have no sound, and my monitor doesn't have speakers in it, so is there anyway I can get sound?

Only way to edit the settings on the 360 is by adjusting the resolution in the console setting, but you probably already have done that so no luck there. You can however get sound by hooking up a pair of headphones or earplugs to the VGA sound output.

You have to have a set of speakers to get sound. Either that or get a pair of headphones. The image should look really good so something is probably up. Check the resolution and make sure you have it set properly for your monitor.

i use the VGA cable on my 32 inch LCDtv and the picture is amazing.  Make sure that you have your 360 set to the proper resolution.  as for sound.... just pick up some cheap speakers

My 360 is VGA'ed into my Samsung 930BF and the picture is great (though not widescreen).

As for sound, you can either

1) buy speakers

2) make/buy a phono-to-3.5mm jack lead and plug it into your PC

3) hook it up to a mixer

The VGA cables are a wonder. On my 37inch LCD TV, they look better than component. Also, i have used them on my 19' Samsung moniter, and they work great as well.

Things to check:

What size is your Moniter? Set the 360 to the native resolution of your moniter. also, make sure if it is not a widescreen moniter that you set the 360 to the standard size.

See the Audio cables that split off from the VGA cable? Those need to be put into a speaker's input. The cables should have come with a converter so you could put them in a stereo jack.

Should be all set after this!
