I dont if this is true but i heard something about an xbox coming out with blu-ray and this attachment is only going to be on the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition but anyways here is the link (just copy and paste it beacause i am new to gamespot and don't know how to make a link)

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=xbox+360+special+edition&category0=

So just click on the first one and if you read the auction description it says that "3rd will have bluray dvd attachtment so please can someone correct me or is this true because i want to know
thanks

I never heard of that. I guess its possible but i dont know if they would drop the HD DVD so quickly. Yea it has not been selling to great and yea i would much rather have a blu-ray dvd over HD but still idk if i believe that.

Didn't even need to look at the link - Ebay? Cmon.

360 will never come out with blue-ray, unless HD gets obliviated, which wont happen (any time soon)

If it did, it would be saying to Sony - You win, we picked the wrong format (or w/e you wanna call it) we will now follow in your footsteps.

Not saying it won't happen tho, just unlikely.

Awhile back I read an interveiw with an MS spokesperson who said that if BluRay wins the next gen DVD war then MS had the capability and would in fact release a BluRay add on drive for the 360. Of course this would only make sense if BluRay is the winning technology.

A month ago it looked like BluRay was definitely going to win because of the exclusive deal with Blockbuster video - since then though according to statistics I read HD-DVD has actually been outselling BluRay (in the last month) almost 2 to 1 primarily because HD-DVD players are much more affordable than BluRay players.

So...

The DVD war is far from over. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

LOL this is what i don't understand what choice? Why are these needed in the first place? No doubt your a film buff and as one of these buffs you have a number of favorite films which you probably had (and paid for) on video, then no doubt with DVD coming all those films were once again purchased and now ... again people are going to buy them all over to get them in HD format .... honestly it just keeps going and going ... DVD's can be upscaled and whilst not perfect HD surely enough not to warrent another player with all your films being brought again .... for what extra's ... LOL no ta I don't need a documentary ... I'm really blown away with all this fuss over HD and Blu Ray it just seems like extra expense for what the same film with a slightly sharper image and yet more *yawn* extras on the disk
