you need a hard drive to be able to go on xbox live. idealy you dont want the core, you shold go for the premium because that comes with the hard drive, a headset, an ethernet cable & 1 month free subscription to xbox live gold. you need gold to play games online. its £39.99 for 12 months. you can get pre paid cards if your worried about putting in your credit card details.

if you are going to go wireless you need a wireless roter for your broadband to plug into & then you need to get a wireless network bridge for the 360 which costs £59.99. i have my 360 wireless. some people have said they have problems with going wireless but i have had no problems.

Hey, cool to hear you want a 360. If your going to get one its best to buy the premium as it has a good size hard drive. Also all you need for live is an internest connection. Your supplied with the cable to plug in for your connection, you will also proberbly get a month free. Just a tip mate if you want to buy the subscription for the year you could get it from ebay. get some dosh off the price. Thats what I did. Saved 15 UK pounds.

Well worth the money mate. ACE

Oh as that guy above says, routers are cool but then again ive heard you can loose signal and so on. Other implications can occur depending on where it is all set up. Personally just get it plugged in. I think its called a CAT5 adaptor so you can plug your 360 and phone line in at the same time. Im lucky I have a socket in my room. Did if when we built the extention but anyway.

Good stuff.... Oh and definately dont get core... As above, NO HDD premium give 20gig I think
