Xbox crashes every 2 minutes

Hello,

My Xbox 360 crashes every 2 minutes. It first happened when playing GoW 2. The screen turned black out of nowhere and the Xbox didn't react anymore. So i rebooted it and played again and it happened again. Same thing the third time. So i tried to figure out what it was. First i left it at the dashboard, but again it crashed. The screen didn't turn black but it stopped. I tried turning the xbox to standing position, but that didn't help either. My question is: why does my Xbox crash every 2 minutes regardless of what i do? and what can i do about it? there are no orange or red rings, and when it crashes and i restart my controller it doesnt find my Xbox. HELP!

EDIT: The air that comes out of the back of the console feels pretty warm, too.

can someone help me out? playing GoW 2 with all its bugs, matchmaking and overseas hosts is hard enough, but whitout a working xbox it is impossible.

Beleive me I feel your pain b/c this happened to me a month ago. I just got my xbox back but I don't understand how I've had my xbox for only 6 months and it already malfunctioned on me but I had my Playstation for 8 yrs and the thing is working harder then ever. I really hope you have another console to play b/c that's what I did, but it wasn't that bad b/c I had some games that needed to be finished
