My xbox live has started out fine, i had monthly credit card paid, so then my mom didn't want this, so i bought a prepaid for one year, yet they continued to charge for the monthly, so we called, they said they would have to cancel it and give us a code for a 30 day free trial until they can fix it, then i got grounded for 2 weeks, when i finally got my xbox back, it said i had silver, so we called to get a second code or our 1 year code we deserved, they were "finding our case" then hung up. Then we called again because we thought we got disconnected, we called again and asked the same questions, and just before finding someone, it hung up again, this continued 5 times before we gave up.. is this some conspiracy to get me out of my money? Are they stealing from me? If anyone has any suggestions please tell me.

If you input a pre-paid card number into your account they should not have renewed your one month account in the first place.

My question to you is, why did you buy one month when you can get one month for free?

yes, you got it, it's a conspiracy to get your money...

I find it hard to believe you got disconnected 5 tiimes, that sounds like a bit of an exaggeration. I worked in a call center for a number of years... disconnects do occassionally happen.

what are you talking about? you get one month free once, thats it. Unless you sign up for a new account every time. This kid had live for a year already.

I took it as he got a one month paid subscription, then after that month his mother did not want that and they got a year pre-paid card. Then even though he had the one year pre-paid for already they still kept charging him for a month every month even though he had a year pre-paid on there.

I was saying that he should not have paid for a month right away as you can get one free. From what he posted it sounds like the month they paid for was the first month that he had live for.

I've never been keen on doing things over the phone. Infact I probably have a phobia of them by now since work keeps on rining me up :S.

well it did literally happen 5 times, no exaggeration. Though thankfully, the problem is somewhat resolved, they are sending me a "code" to renew my 10 months left of xbox live gold from the prepaid, I have yet to hear from them to get this "code"

Yes, I was exaggerating when I said its a conspiracy, but, nonetheless, they still are having "problems" with taking the credit card off the account, due to "unknown" charges. But thank you for all of your replies, it always helps.

WELL, I am beginning to develop a phobia from them as well, especially the machine that welcomes you.. He is starting to make me hate xbox, especially when they don't help me. Or it hangs up (or disconnects) RIGHT after I'm finished talking to him.

Once again thank you for all of you're help!
