Xbox dvd drive prob.

Okay so my drive wont read discs when I stick them in, it does everything else fine in the menu on start up for ex playing demos etc but it just wont load any discs.

Anyway I found a cheap 360 drive I can buy off ebay and was wondering if you guys think this will help it to work if I install the new dvd drive, or if the problem would be with something else?

If you're willing to void your warrenty, I don't see why you don't clean the lens on the dvd drive first.  And if that dosen't work, then yeah buy a new dvd drive.budorz

Do you need to use one of those discs that clean the lense or is there another way to do it?  I have problems with some of my discs as far as telling me that they aren't Xbox 360 games or I get the Japanese message a lot.
