Xbox Live 2011 Holiday Sale - List Games Here

I wanted some help making the list of games and what not that are being offered at discounts this holiday season. Basically, someone is using the tv and I can't get to Live everyday. If you have the time and the community helper spirit, could you list all the stuff here in this thread so I will know to kick my brothers, mother / father off the tv for just the time I need to snatch any good deals. Thanks.

I think yesterday it was Fallout 3 map packs, which, frankly, I don't have the game so didn't care for that discount. But if a game like Torchlight were to be discounted from 15 dollars to say half price, I would hate to miss that opportunity.

Yesterday the Daily Deal was Bastion...at half price...today is two Kinect games. Hole in the Wall and Leedmes or something like that. There's also a bunch of specials that are available until Jan 2nd.

I use to hate going to the XBOX site on my PC. After that big change they made early last year, the load times were unbearable. Surprisingly, they fixed that I guess. It's still terribly hard to find things, but the pages don't hang.

Funny how they took the XBOX Live UI on the console a step back with the fall update. Someone at Microsoft has to be fired. Don't care if its the lady in the cafeteria. Someone should pay for their imbecilic ways.

Anyway, today's 50% discount IS the Fallout 3 / New Vegas maps and addons. Discounts only available today.

But I'll tell you, my half hearted attempt to keep updating this thread is a heap of a lot better then Microsofts abundance of cheer and good will towards their customers. C'Mon Man; Mortal Combat Season Pass??? That's the best you got for us Xbox live customers?

Just as expected, today's holiday special is the Forza 4 add-ons.

There is the season pass fora whopping 1800 ms points. What does that equate to? Buy the game - 60 bucks. Get all the stuff that should be for free in the game but comes months later, another 20 bucks for a total 80 bucks. Doesn't any one else see how they are raping game buyers?

Forget about this being a holiday deal. Kinda makes me want to puke.

Some decent stuff on sale, but it's hard to get excited for Xbox Live sales. I don't don't get how a service like Steam can offer huge discounts on games and yet Xbox Live, which we pay for, is barely worth mentioning.

Yea I keep looking for really good deals only to be disapointed. Steam had dead space 1 and 2 for 5 bucks I'd like to see xbl do that. AutoPilotOn

That seems to be an issue with console digital distribution methods, which I don't understand. Why can steam do something like this and not Xbox Live or PSN? Publishers always like to complain about used game sales and yet the answer is staring them right in the face - Why would I pay $29.99 to get the digital only version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on Xbox Live (with no online pass by the way) while I can get a physical copy for that price or even cheaper? With that physical copy I can sell it back when I'm done, let my friends borrow it, or use it as a coaster for all I care. Seriously publishers, if you want to combat used game sales why not offer huge savings on the digital front?

I'd go ape Sh*t if EA offered Dead Space 1 and 2 for $5 or even $10 on Xbox Live.

Publishers: You can offer these amazing discounts on Steam, so why not Xbox Live or PSN? If there was a compelling enough reason to buy the game digitally, I wouldn't have the option of selling it later and adding another used game sale. PROBLEM SOLVED.

MS are a complete and utter joke. Go to Steam or even PSN if you want to see some deals.

Also, for anyone that's arsed, post disappointed comments on major Nelsons blog. Might not amount to anything but at least those morons at Xbox HQ might see how the community feels about these disgraceful "deals".
