Xbox Live and Advertisement

I have been getting fed up lately while signing into xbox live. I know it might not be much, but I hate seeing commercials in my menus. Who at Xbox thought any of us gamers would want to see a commercial for Tide about a old ass mom who parties in her daughters shirt? I mean come on...I know some of you will say well they have to make their money with advertising. I say Funk that ship! Us gold members pay 50 bucks of our hard earned money a year to utilize their service. That should be enough. If anything have it be like the Iphone App Store and let the demos (silver members) get stuck with all the crap commercials and advertising. When you buy the app (gold members) you don't have to deal with being bombarded by crap because you are already supporting the service monetarily. Don't let this ship slide! Soon we will be over run by soccer moms and tampon adds!!! Let XBL know we don't want this crap. If anything have advertising geared towards the gamer. They know what demographic a certain gamertag sits in. Show me a ad for some bad ass new gadget, not Tide!

I don't mind when it's geared for XBox Live users, but some movies they promote, like that Meryl Streep–Alec Baldwin one whose name escapes me, are clearly not anything the typical XBox user is interested in.

I agree completely. If they are going to have ads then reduce the price of gold membership not raise it...
