Xbox Live Community getting worse?

I think for the past few days that i have been getting are hate msg from a lot of people. Seriously can't people just accept a loss? When Im playing soulcalibur 4 i keep getting saying "ur a ****". when im playing madden 09 i keep getting this "ur a *****) for running out the clock. my biggest problem is probably Call of Duty 4 it seem you cant play a damn match without people harassing people races or sexual jokes. But yeah i been meeting with a lot of a-hole. must be bad luck. so anyway how often do you encouter jack***?Dallas_Cowboys9

TC the correct terminology is worse not worser. To answer your question, i've had plenty of abusive messages because of my gamerscore. I don't really see the point, why should they even care what I do with MY time?

In game I rarely encounter any verbal abuse. The times I do however I just mute them. Its the mature thing to do. Mute and move on.

I wouldn't mind people sending me hate messages because lately i have had people quite the game seconds before i am going to win a ranked match.

The problem isn't just xbox live. I play COD4 on the PS3 and the 360. My experience lately has been that the COD4 on the PS3 has far more people giving out verbal and racial abuse.

I think both the PS3 and 360 should spit there online into two section. One section for under 18's and the other for people over 18. They should also add a option to record a couple of minutes of mic conversations. That way if someone is overly abusive then you could record a sample of what they are saying and send it in to MS. This way they could give out serious bans to people who deserve it.

As the price of the console comes down (As is happening with the X-box in the UK) the more under 18's there are that can afford to buy the console. And as these are normally the biggest group that just swears and hurls abuse so too does the abuse level.

I mainly play C&C 3 and I am not the best, but some people are just retards. I remember my Socom days I used to get into it with people. But yea I think thats the reason why ppl dont use mics so you can be in your own zone and dont hear people talkin sh** or hear whats going on in their personal life.

There really is nothing you can do about it. Soon they'll be on Gears of War 2.

Has anyone noticed though, that when a game first comes out no one talks trash. Everyone is kind of respectable towards eachother. Maybe it's because no one has no idea what they're doing still.

Ok first off edit your topic title. Worser is not a word. It's WORSE that's it.

Second. I run in to a-holes and I run into decent players it's just a fact of gaming. The more mics you have And anyone playing on LIVE certainly has a mic the more chances are of finding jerks. Simple fact. Mute these people if they bother you that much OR do one better kick their ass and who gives a crap what they have to say :)

WOW! See I like to jump on and play online for fun too but at the same time if I lose constantly I get mad too BUT I don't rag on someone cause they are better. That's just stupid. You're BOUND to run into people who are better then you it seems you just can't take losing. I play sports but I am fine with sports, if I lose I lose, sportsmanship. I only play football (soccer to you if you are American) and Rugby.

xbl was never good but if you honestly think the community is bad, I don't know what kind of sterile bubble youve been living in most of your life. at least you cant get punched over the headset.

Well, I'm new to XBL. I'm more used to PC online gaming and i must say it's an entirely different world on XBL. Every game I play on XBL, which is usually Gears of War, and CoD4 I always run into @$$holes. Playing online on the PC is so much ore peaceful. I understand what being competitive is all about. But man people take it waaay too serious on XBL.

You can be a noob and join a server on let's say...Counter-Strike or Unreal Tournament and people don't really care. But oh god...don't suck on XBL...
