I got a 360 today, and a big reason why was x box live. I have a wireless router in my house so I thought I could plug the ethernet cord into my laptop which gets the wireless connection to connect to the internet (I know somebody else who does this to connect to live). Unfortunately, I cannot connect the xbox to the internet. When I do a connection test it fails on the IP address and says "Your console was unable to negotiate a lease with your DHCP server. Make sure that addresses are available on your server." I tried messing with my DHCP to no avail. Yes, I know it has suggestions on the fail screen but I do not understand it or where to go. I also tried calling the 1-800-4my-xbox hotline earlier and talked to a computer for 20 minutes, but no "agent" helped me. Any helpful advice?

you have to bridge your network connections (on your computer, you have to mangage your connections by highlighting both of them, then right-clicking and selecting brige connections); look up more about bridging connections on the internet

idk what kind of reception or signal strength you will get to your xbox 360, but it should get you connected at least
