My Live is disconnecting the internet completely from my apartment. I usually have a PC, two laptops, and my xbox hooked up to the router. The two laptops are wirelessly connected and the PC and the 360 are hardwired. This started happening this weekend. I've reset my router and modem many times and have also updated the firmware of my router. After about 15 minutes of Live being connected it will disconnect everything that is connected to the router. I've had this router for about a year and a half and have never had this happen to me. Any suggestions?
I had the same problem not too long ago. Fix was pretty easy. Just go in to your router preferences and configure it for static IP use. Then go onto each devise and designate them their own IP. Sometimes the Xbox will assign an IP that has already being used. In this case, your router will get confused and try to auto correct by giving out new IP's but because the xbox is stubborn it wont accept the new IP unless you unplug the cable and stuff. pretty lame but it works

I have given the xbox its own IP address when I was trying to troubleshoot it. You are correct though it was conflicting with one of the laptops and that's when I changed it. I didn't static all of the devices IPs though. So I need to assign the rest of the devices also?
