Xbox Live - Failed, Help please

Okey the situation is: For 2 days i havent been able to connect to XBox Live and when i do the connection test i get the result:

Network Adapter - Wired

IP Address - Confirmed

DNS - Confirmed

 MTU - Confirmed

 ICMP - Confirmed

Xbox Live - Failed

And when i press the "More info" buttom all i get is an empty window.

I simply need some help, whats wrong? Why cant i connect to Live?

the reason you can't connect to it is because you got banned. same thing happened to my friend.

I got banned? Shouldnt i get a mail or somethign telling me why?

when my friend asked why It happened, all they said Is they couldn't disclose that information. you have to get a new console to play live now. just send it in if Its under warranty.Strife88

I know man, Its insane. nah Its in the terms of agreement. your gamertag isn't banned so you can still play offline or recover your tag at a friends until you get your new one.Strife88

 Let's say i get a new Xbox, and take "Recover gametag", do i get my saves aswell? 

Course now the my Xbox feels like useless, cant get updates or anything..

you didn't get banned, same thing is happening to me right now

It says, "can't retrieve information from xbox live. Please try again later." But everything else still works (friends show up). All i can't do is download stuff from the marketplace. Just tryagain later. Unless your a jackass and trashtalk people online all the time. Then I would be worried.
