First I would like to say that I am a very hardcore gamer. In fact until just recently I was a very determined achievement hunter and would probably play around 10 hours a day, I have major health problems so im inside alot. I am also a very safe person and had never had anything ive owned stolen or hacked before. However yesterday I had a strange message pop up when I turned on my account to watch Netflix. Apparently my account was signed onto another console. I than noticed that my perfect 106k gamerscore now said 106035G. I immediatley checked my games to see FIFA12 on it with three achievements. I knew from looking it up before that it was a common hack steal someones account and then use their MS points or credit card to purchase FIFA content which using certain methods will allow them to give that content to one of their own accounts on their Xbox, which they would later sell on Ebay or other sites. After I saw the game I checked my MSP balance to find my 5000MSP I used prepaid codes to get, now at a low 11MSP. Horrified I called Microsoft customer support who than put my info down and said that an investigation will be filed,my account will be locked, and I will be emailed at a new email address when they find something. Well today, I checked that email and found that the investigation is over in a single day and that they found no trace of unauthorized activity. Account unlocked, no refund, no demands met, and at that point I was furious. Trying to keep a cool head, I called again to have a horrible support rep,say that my only option is to deny their "findings" and attempt this again except they wont lock my account this time. I hung up and called about 5 min later , because I felt that I needed more info than that. The kind new rep I got seemed to be just as interested at how this happened as I was. Throughout the conversation he said I should change EVERYTHING, including privacy setting, security setting, passwords, and even my Facebook in case of phishing. Id like to state that there was no way this was phishing. My passwords and security questions are far beyond any conversation or piece of info I can put on a site. In the end I did change all my setting and even erased my Facebook. At the end of the phone call he told me that there was quite a bit of information that he added to my account for the investigation team. He told me to continue to pursue this no matter what the result is and to call back in 5 days if I do not receive any news. Im am now waiting to hear what they have to say. For the longest time I trusted Microsofts Security and my information, now I am not so sure. I am 99% positive that phishing would be impossible, so it has to be by some other means. Anyway I will not rest until this is taken care of. I demand that they promise me that my account is now protected and they found the hacker, a perfect refund, and this FIFA12 stain taken off my account with that 35gamerscore. I will post this message all over the internet and hope that people will see it. I know this has been happening to alot of people and its not fair that this can happen to people who are safe and secure. Anybody who has been hacked like this before please speak up! We cant let these hackers get away with this and we need Microsoft to update their security on Xbox Live. I will be monitoring my own progress in this and hope it gets resolved, but I am afraid I will not trust Xbox Live again and anything I do on Live will be updating my games and occasionally buying dlc. Thanks for everybody who read this far and good luck to those who are also going through the same right now.

Well that was a useless reply to something that is very important. If you didnt want to take the time to read it than why did you even post?

You would still be reading the same amount....... Really I am not in the mood to argue with you. Ive had a rough few days with this, family, and health so I do not need to listen to somebody whine about how it hurts to waste a minute reading. I made this post for people who might also want to share similiar experience, that is all.

That does suck...

I was 'hacked' about 6 months ago too. Just playing some L4D2 then I got that very same 'Another device is signed in on this account, you will now be signed out' or whatever it is; been a while. Fortunately I had my laptop right next to me, so promptly signed in on xbox.com, signed in, changed password then all security questions, associated email address etc.

They had time to buy 5000 MSP, but slow enough that I changed the password and everything before they did.

So I ended up with someone buying 5000 MSP with my money, but I didn't lose the account and kept the points, could have been a lot worse.

No idea how it happened, my pass was 10 chars long with numbers, upper and lowercase, and special characters. And no, I didn't sign up to any 'WE'LL GIVE YOU FREE MSP, GIVE US YOUR LOG-IN DETAILS' or anything stupid. Also use a different password for everything.

So if it wasnt phishing I wonder what it could be? It was a little odd for me, because they didnt change the password or anything. The only thing they did change was my security question, which was a question I am positive I wouldnt choose.

pharagraphs make it easier for people to read it, otherwise people have to really push themselves to go through such an amount of text. It's just the way the brain works. Anyway ,Ii still read your whole post. Xbox can't be hacked, it's a closed operating system. The only reason someone could have gotten to your gamertag is because they know your password of your email adress. These passwords can be stored on your computer and your pc can easily be hacked if you don't use windows updates, use a pirated copy of windows or use illegal or dubious software on your pc. Apart from that , someone can just have played on your xbox while you weren't there like a family member or friend. Sometimes people send messages over xboxlive to give your password on a site to get free microsoft points or whatever and like this you can also be hacked. But that isn't really hacking since you just gave them your password. So be carefull with your passwords, and use a lock on your xbox (can be done in family settings) and this won't happen again. As for now, just change your password on your email adress, change your gamertag and make sure your computer is clean , otherwise change your password on another computer that is clean.

Enough with the complaints about the paragraphs, I promise I wont do it again, is that better? Anyway, I posted on Xbox.com about this and they informed me about the stolen information off of EA. Im going to assume it was that since I did have an EA for Dragon Age and I think I did use the same password for my EA account. My stupidity, but the blame isnt just on me. Hopefully this will be resolved and I thank the people who didnt complain about my paragraphs and I feel sorry for those that did. If anybody still has their EA password the same as their Windows Live ID password I suggest you change it in case you might not have heard what happened.

i hope they got you all fixed, i got hacked on the 17couch of this month, and they tried to feed me the same cfap! it had nothing to do with your password or your email, the people that are hacking us are using some sort of hack softwear, they go to windows live id password recovery page, then they enter your gamer tag and run the hack softwear, it spits out your email and password! i have watched videos on youtube of them doing this! if they have not fixed your acct file z complant witb the BBB i did today and in just a few short hours i got an email saying my acct will be fixed asap! funny how that works! good luck! if anyone else needs help im here to help! i know how it feels to loose your credits and have them looking and your info!

So if this is true and I doubt it is you should have not bought Fifa '12 seems like that is the how they hack you. Sue EA.

XBL service can't be hack but your PC can. So don't go to risky sites, don't download pirated software, use strong passwords lower and upper case letters and numbers, clear your cache in your browser, use AV software.

I understand you want a refund, but seriously, don't even bother with the 35 G. It's not a big deal
