So Im interested in getting the gold membership and was wondering if I want to play split screen with my brother online will we have to buy 2 gold memberships? Or will 1 subscription work for us both on the same console?
Gold memberships are for one gamertag only. If you want both of you on live, get two memberships. I know Halo 3 will let temporary profiles play online if one has a gold membership, i'm sure some other games do it, but that's your best bet unless u wanna get 2 gold memberships.
You dont need two if you want to go online, just the one as it basically will make a temp profile with your gamertag with a (1) or something on the end. As far as i know, the only games that actually support this though are Gears Of War and Halo 3.

GRAW 2 and Gears 2 allow it, I`m sure some other games do to.
It Depends on the game some games offer guest profiles while some are only single screen. The only way if there single screen is to buy another 360 so unless you have money to spend to keep up and buy two of everything just to play with him just stick to offline games. but halo is the only game ive played that allows guest play
