xbox live help urgent!!!

ok ive had my 360 4 6 months now and now i want live ok heres the problem my computer is all the way upstairs on the opposite side of the house from where my 360 is and i dont wanna buy a huge cable and fish it through the wall my modem isnt wireless and then i would have to buy a new one and i dont really want to spend 150 dollars on a another modem and wireless adapter any help or suggestions if worst comes to worst ill just have 2 move mi computer downstairs

Well you may think this is really wierd, but but a long wired cable to connect your computer to the modem, move your modem somewhere between the PC and Xbox, and you dont need as long of a wire.

Dont forget your 360 came with a wire about 20 feet long i think.
