Xbox live is down right?

As above, it seems to have major problems, I can't connect to live, when I do the tests, it says everything is ok.

Just now, it says '3 friends online' in the little thing that tells u about achievements, but then says 'connect to live' where it should be my friends list and stuff.

Just to check, is this just me, or is live down?

I am having the same problems, I mean when I test connection everything works fine. Annoying thing for me is though - I just recoverd my Gamertag on my mates Xbox when I went to his earlier and now I have come back wanting to recover my Gamertag on mine - and its not working:( Means I can only play games on my 'Guest' account xD.

Oh that's ok then. Sorry, yea, just now I saw loads of other topics on this, I just looked at the 1st page initially which didn't have anything.

i mean look at ps3 its free to go online

we shouldn't need to pay for live we bought the game and that should be it
