Xbox Live Kid Stereotype

So I don't play Xbox Live much, but I have read and totally understand that people hate the 12 year olds that play and scream, whine, etc. Well, I'm 13, but I dunno if I should talk or not because I don't want people to think I act like all the other douche cake kids that play. What should I do: Talk, or just kinda lay low and play without the talking?dawowzy

Nobody minds. Just don't scream or anything. The same concept goes to people of all ages.

It's less to do with age, more to do with being you a moron. If you're not being a douche, all shall be well.

I've personally had a lot more trouble with the 16+ crowd than younger kids.

I think there is a lot of unfair prejudice against younger players, but it's simply because of the reputation the whiny ones have built for themselves. I personally don't mind younger players, but I noticed many will start arguments just because the other person has a high pitched voice regardless of how well they behave. I think you're just going to have to put up with it for a while, or try to find a server where less biased people play.GreenMan

Yeh I have noticed this myself sometimes a younger member of xbox live will enter a room and talk and all of a sudden all of the people in the room are pitching in, however it's not just screaming and stuff that gets annoying from younger members it's stuff like on RB6:V where the kids are constantly 'are we doing the glitch', well not so much now but they used to be.

As long as you don't scream into the mike and talk non stop trash people will not care and will like to play with you.  I'd rather be team mates with a good sport younger person than a trash talking foul mouthed adult anyday.

Be yourself, obciously, you dont seem like one of those kids. If people bother you, stop talking, thats all. Ive played with younger kids who are very nice, and i dont mind. When they scream and talk crap, its very irritating. 

Age is irrelevant. If the person is mature enough to play, that's what matters.

I can understand someone getting frustrated with things not going well at all for them in a game (I've had those days too) and voicing it out, but when it starts becoming a regular thing, that's when I have to ask them if it's really worth playing if the game makes them that upset?
