Xbox Live lag

I got lag in like every game I play but not in the same amount. In Gears of War I lag/disconnect most of the times and in Halo 2/Shadowrun I sometimes get disconnected or lag but not that many times as I get lag/disconnects in Gears of War. I tried several things: i got NAT open, i updatet my router but nothing helped. I have a US Robotics 9108 router and I use a wired connection. I desperately need help cause this is really annoying.

your problem is your upload speed, it should be i believe 256kb/s, thats why your getting lag.

dont really have that much of a problem, unless the host has a really bad connection

and maybe if you change your rooter to D-link you will have deferent speed and lowest lag

Your connection must have a flaw. Are you on a router with a bunch or computers that are constantly on? if so turn off the other computers. I rarely lag even though I'm on a router unless the other 3 computers are on. if you have a connection monitoring software check to the latency and the dips. You might just have a really unstable connection.

OR.... the guys you connect too have bad connections. It happens.
