When I'm in the dashboard or playing Halo 3. I get a lot of lagg.

The confusing part is I have a fast Internet connection. When I play xbox live i turn off my other computer so the xbox can get the full bandwidth. My xbox is plugged directly into the router. My NAT is open.

Any recommendations? :)

Hmmm, has it always been laggy? On a side note, if I have this speed, and a wireless connection that goes from 360 on second story of my house, to the bottom story where my modem is, will I lag?

yes, but the connection of a gametype doesnt always depend on your connection. Sometimes all the connexions must be good and divided between players and in others, the game is hosted and the host controls the game by his connexion.

Your connection looks fantastic. I sincerely doubt you will ever have any lag.

halo 3 slows down the dash because it adds extra options to it like the halo 3 service record button

Recently over the past week. Basicly since Halo 3 came out it started to lagg really bad. Sometimes it will seem to freeze in the dashboard when looking at my friend's list. If I wait long enough.....a min or longer it will eventually load.

Hmmm, it's probably just Xbox Live being insanely busy, plus Halo 3 servers are probably a bit overloaded :P

I been having the same problem since saturday. I believe that was the BIG day when everyone had free time to play halo 3 online and xbox live couldn't handle it. Mine started to freeze on friends list too and wouldn't load icons on marketplace and on halo 3 said 0 ppl where online playing it..... I just didn't bother trying to fight this lag and just try finishing up single player till they fix this problem
