When I go and pay 540 points for one of these movies, do I acually get to keep it or is it just a rental? $9 seems very cheap to buy an HD movie..

Anyone else think thats a d*mn rip-off! I could go and rent the same movie for $4 at my movie store and they have a way better selection. But all in all, I still think its a cool idea, just kind of expensive IMO.

it cost $9 dollars to download it on the 360?? I could just download it for free on my computer and stream it to my xboxJamie_1987

exactly, its 540 points to rent 300 HD. It's $7 to buy 500 points so we are getting close to $9

Where does it say its just a rental? I'm pretty sure you are buying the movie....don't you save it on your HDD and watch it as much as you want?

Nope, cause once you download it and start to view it, you have to watch it once you start it

after that it erases or becomes unviewable

my buddy downloaded one and told me

a bunch of crap if you ask me

You get 14 days to watch it.... once you watch it, it activates a 24 hour timer that will let you watch this movie at any time during that 24 hours... after that you can no longer watch it.

6.75 sounds about resonable. I mean, you are getting an HD version. in Canada we just got it and i'm stoked for it.

yes you COULD go to the movie store and all that but the great thing about this is that you're paying a premium to be able to watch it without an HD-DVD player and whenever you want (without getting in your car, going to the store, choosing one, coming back, using your HD-DVD player taht you bought, and then watching it)

Its not for everyone but I'm really into it.

I'm fine with the price for renting, but it would be nice if you could buy movies as well.

This is what MS wants to do to all movies, no buying just renting from their dls services. Transformers boy was closer to the mark than many realise.

Can you even get actual HD movies? When the update came out I was checking out the changes and I could have sworn the movies were only 480p. Even if the quality were like an HD DVD I still wouldn't DL 'em but if it goes widescreen 480p maximum resolution that's far from HD.

Some movies are in HD. But from what I understand, the quality is still not as good as HD DVD.
