Xbox live, mtu test keeps failing

Ok, when i read the details it says i need 134, wich isnt that high, so i go to my router browser page and change the settings from auto, to manual and type in 1500, this seemed to work for the people i found on google, but didnt work for me

So, anyone else had this problem? i got a lynksys router WRT54G

Xbox Live servers are down for 24 hrs for preparation for the New Xbox Experience, they went offline from 12am Pacific Monday morning and wont be up til 12am Pacific Tuesday, so just enjoy some offline games in the meantime because this is happening to everyone right now and its not your 360, this has been planned for the last 3 weeks.

The MTU test requires packets to and from the xbox live servers, since they are down the MTU test will always fail till the servers go back up.
