I just got XBOX LIVE 3 days ago, is the content available for download for Oblivion worth buying? (Already have shivering isles+knights of nine, need to know about any other good ones)

I would say that it is. Some you might find more useful (like the Magic Tomes) than others, such as the Horse Armor.

The Knights of the Nine content is good, as is the Shivering Isles. Everything else is geared towards a particular character style. (ie: Warrior, Thief, Wizard, etc...) Depending on what type of character you have you may or may not find the other stuff usefull.

You picked up the only content packs besides the dungeon that enhance the overall game and not just a certain play-style.

Grab the Mages tower, the rest of them offer little fun things, but Frostcraig Spire is actually useful. It gives you access to Enchanting and Spellmaking without needing to be in the mages guild, access to oblivion plants after you close all the gates, and access to a test area with an infinite amount of sigil stones. The rest of the DLC pales in comparison.

Probably not if a bunch of people claim to be getting the RRoD after downloading it. HA!
