I want to buy the new Xbox 360 Elite soon but its not that simple:

I live in Israel and they dont sell the Xbox here. so I buy it from the UK and I want to know something:

will I be able to play online with people from all over the world?

as long as you have high speed internet, I would also suggest getting the xboxlive vision cam because you can do alot of cool things with it like video chat, put your own picture on your gamer tag and a few other neat things.
