Hi all,

I have just logged in on XBOX live for the very first time ever and played a couple of games of Top Spin 2 but when I plugged my headset to the controller nothing, nada, no sound in from the other player and my voice either?

Is my headset broken? came with the premium pack.

Or am I doing something wrong?  Should it be plugged in before I boot up the console etc?

Please advised what I am doing wrong?

Anyone willing to send me a chat invite so I can test my mic & headset :)

Thanks all, Peace

Easy way to test the headset. Go to send a voice chat to someone and record your voice. Then just play it back and see if you hear it.

My mic & headset sounds completely dead, not even a hint of interference, it sounds like its not even plugged in?

Thanks, just tried that and it recorded and played back ok, only snag is that it was a little too quiet? and there was some crackling on the playback, is all of this normal, as I said this is the 1st time I've done this :)

Make sure your volume is up and your cords are plugged in securely.

If the volume is up all the way then the only way to make it louder is to put the mic closer to your mouth. A little interference in the background is normal. Somethings when it dosnt work I just unplug it and put it back in. Anyway, have fun on XBL!
