I'm having a problem. I can't select the country and state I'm in because there is nothing in the drop down menu and I can't type it in. Anybody having this problem?
Was there any problems with your live service last time people done this? I just get crazy feelings about using my system for a test. Its almost like those people doing medication test that get sick. (I'm just asking not dissing Microsoft in any way).
Sure...there's always the possibility that the "test" reveals some amazing bug and bricks your system. That's part of the fun :) I signed up anyway!!

I went ahead & signed up as well, they better hope nothing happens to my console again or they will be giving me another 12 Month Xbox Live Gold card for free.
I'm just guessing but I think they add your console serial number in to their system, which then tells the the live service to send you the update the next time you sign on.
I'm sure if it messed up your system somehow they would compensate you. I can't imagine that it would brick the whole system though. This is just a software upgrade and shouldn't phase the hardware. Then again... this is Microsoft.
