xbox live wireless adaptor HELP!

i hav recently bought a xbox 360 wireless network adaptor and have been trying 2 set it up 4 bout a week but wen i plug it in it sais that the adaptor is disconnected. i no it is on coz te light fingy on da back comes on but it sais it cannot connect 2 my wireless ether! sombody help plz!

i had the same problem

go to dashboard --> network settings --> edit settings, then go to the bottom box, and click on that, you should be able to choose your connection from there.

Okay noob, turn on your console.
Go into your System Tab, then select Network Settings.

In NETWORKSETTINGS, go into EDIT SETTINGS, and you'll see three options under Basic Settings.

If you have your adaptor plugged in, choose Wireless Mode. You'll see that it will say Not Set.

If you accept it, you'll see a list of Wireless Networks available. Select yours*.

Enter your WEP or WPA security key. Sometimes these are under your router, above or below a serial number, but sometimes you also have to make them yourself.

After entering your code, you can run a test. Just select the Xbox Live one to see if you're connected.

*If you don't know what your wireless network is named, you'll have to find your router adress. You can try running a command by pressing the Windows Key + R and type in IP Config. Default Gateway should be your router IP, me thinks.

Some Routers also have a site that you can type in which will show you your network, firewall, and all that hoo haw.

I'm not super expert or anything, but just try this first.

EDIT your network name might also be your router brand and the last three digits of your serial number.

Go to your network settings and it should recognise it and work, otherwise phone the XBox 360 helpline, they'd probably be able to help you more.....coz innit wrdAdamSkylark

Is the USB cord plugged in and the light is green? I set mine up in about half an hour. I went into the settings and copied all the numbers into the right places. It took me a while coz it said I needed to keep entering my SSID. Just open up your WLAN Control Centre and copy everything exactly, thats what I did and woolah.

You should have a icon on your desktop and/or under your computers utilities.

at da botem i have 2 sayin wireless network connection and currently connected to. how do i open my computor utilitys

if i do that the botom box isnt bold and i cant click on it. does it matr about the numbers on top 2 boxes cos they all say 0.0.0.0samon95

You need to manually enter your IP address and WEP codes if oyu have a secure connection. There is an option in network settings to enter this information then you select it as your host. You may also have to open a few firewalls on your router to allow the wifi adaptor to link with your connection.
