Get Xbox one for Christmas. If you waiting for a price drop from $500.00 Not happening until 3 years at least. So if you have at least $560.00 before tax. Then get Xbox one right away. a videogame console at Christmas is always great to unwrap.
If you are mainly a solo gamer the time is not right to buy either new console. If you can... enjoy a year of great "classic" and discounted games. Then next year you will have the same "holiday buzz" but with plenty of games (some at great prices) to add.
If you are an online gamer it's all about the first game that you want to play enough to buy the console.Â
I'd wait. Price drops will happen more quickly than you think with the ps4 being cheaper. I think xbox is in for surprise(already screwed the community with the hint of trying those ridiculous features) when ps4 outsells it. They'll drop price and match ps4 to compensate or have some other deals like bundling more games. Waiting 6-8 extra months wont kill you. Personally I dont even want to get either console. Im going to go back to pc gaming. Board + mouse for Bf4 please. Plus its annoying having the same hardware for 8 years whilst pc's are five times ahead.
[QUOTE="Spellingiscool"]Wait, no reason to get one right away. Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Forza.... mehsukraj
i'm sorry u feel this way and while u do feel this way i'll be playing my brand spanking new console.
And I'll be waiting for better games that appeal to me. Enjoy.[QUOTE="sukraj"][QUOTE="Spellingiscool"]Wait, no reason to get one right away. Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Forza.... mehSpellingiscool

I say get it at launch! This gen has become stale and has gone on far too long now. Gaming needs a new lease of life and the Xbox One will surely be the console to deliver that!
sukraj
What launch games r u getting.
The 3 games I'm definitely getting are Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and of course CoD: Ghosts, but I wouldnt be surprised if I end up getting a few others too. I cant wait!

yes Ryse and Dead Rising 3 look sweet.
Buy it at launch. What's the point in waiting and waiting for more games? You can play in the meantime, and play and then buy more games all these months until more games next E3. I just don't get it.
Anyway, launches are adventures and sort of fun.
If you have the money to invest into several games, and there are games you want for it then you should get it. But if you are having doubts, save the money and wait for more games to come out
A videogame console is one of the greatest Christmas presents to open. If you are able to get Xbox One for christmas with Battlefield 4, Call of duty Ghosts or Dead Rising 3 then do so. You had a tough year and Xbox one would be a get Christmas present to open.
Buy it only if you can afford it and there is a game you want to play on it. I answered yes to both so I'm not going to wait.
basically, this post. You could also wait few weeks and check out all the info to MAKE sure you want one. IF you have one pre order just pick it up and hold off opening that way you won't lose your's due to any demand
I'm waiting a while, but I'm long past the days of feeling any need to have everything right when it comes out.
