Xbox One "flying off the shelves" after price cut

The article is from four days ago, but it's great to hear and makes it clear that the Xbox One is anything but "dead" as indicated by many. Don't read the comments in the article because all you'll get is a bunch of PS4 haters. This console generation has a long ways to go and things will start to even out after a few more years IMO.

When did anyone say the Xbox One was "dead" do you have links to back up your statements? People just simply stated the PS4 is doing better than the Xbox One in terms of sales - which it is.

I only recognise one of those sites as reputable and that's cnet. The others I've never heard of in my entire life until now.

Well I have. I did not realize you were the internet official that determines what sites are reputable and which ones aren't. You asked me to provide some links and I provided you some. My point still stands. Too many people have already concluded the Xbox One has lost this 'console war'. I think it's just way too premature for anyone to think Microsoft has no chance against Sony with the Xbox One at this point. Way too early.

It really was an awful year for the entire industry.

I didn't mean to come off as an asshole, and oh no I definitely agree with you. Whoever says the Xbox One is dead is an idiot.

Xbox 1 is in much better shape than the PS3 was at this point in time, and the PS3 ended up doing really well in the end.

I'll be interested to see the June NPD...May sales were poor, but that is largely due to the announcement of the Kinectless SKU coming in May (but not arriving until June).

I hope it starts flying off the shelves where you live and everywhere else. I want to see the Xbox One succeed.

I am sure that the Xbox One will start selling this fall with all of the great releases.

From what I've seen, most all consoles sell wonderfully during Xmas season...it's just a matter of how well the competition does in that same time frame.

You'll get your wish, to a degree, come this Xmas season.

I think that the Halo: Master Chief Collection will make a difference.

Somewhat I can see it as it's a good deal, but I think the difference maker will be next years Halo 5, although it's true Halo lost some steam with Halo 4 with my group of friends. The new developer 343 didn't have the MP pull the older Halos had.

I can see them improving the multiplayer for Halo 5 after working on the Master Chief Collection.

@BattleSpectre: agreed. You can't just google something and then throw the first five search results up there. You need to be backing it up with reputable information from reputable sites. What the hell are those anyway? I recognize cnet, the rest look like blogs, and the only way anyone is going to believe a blog is if they have cited their information from respectable sources.
