I have the TB X42s and have enjoyed them on my 360, i can use them on my xbox one and hear everything but the chat is really low and i cant turn up the game volume if i want to hear someone? i am using the adapter cable and adapter not the new xbox one controller. My question is should i get the newer style controller with the 3.5mm jack or will it not make a difference. Or should I get a new headset if so what do you recommend?? price isnt too much of an issue as im not in too much of a hurry. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I honestly don't know how to fix your problem. All I can do is provide an article that might help you find some new headsets.

There's an Xbox One section towards the bottom but some of the headsets listed in other sections might work with Xbox One as well. For instance, I can use my PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset with my Xbox One. Just plug the headphone jack straight into the controller (newer controllers with headset jack). It's not the best but it gets the job done. : )
