Xbox One S Fan Noise

Hey everyone, just a quick question please. My Xbox One S fan has been pretty loud during gameplay. Can anyone please confirm if their fan has a loud noise or if this is normal.

When i play games like fallout 3 or a last gen game it makes hardly any noise, but when i play destiny it gets loud.

yeah I did it's the strangest sounding fan I ever heard

This is the kind of stuff I was afraid of when Microsoft announced the S. I have a 500gb fat that runs perfectly and is quiet as a mouse. I needed more HDD space and was trying to decide between the S or a 2tb external. These fan noise issues pushed me to the external hard drive. Sure, my One might be huge and look like an octopus with all the cords coming out of it, but it's quiet.

You should get a sound meter and check the sound levels like Digital Foundry did for their review of the Xbox One S. They said the fan is slightly louder than the original Xbox One.

your camera makes more noise I'd take that back first if I were you, seems fine if you don't hold a mic within 2 feet of it

Yeah it probably is slightly louder but it's still pretty quiet... much more quiet than the jet engine that is the PS4 fan.
