Yeah like a steam for Xbox360... pay for the games and play them without ever leaving the house...
After this all microsoft will need is a new version of the 360 that makes hot pockets... then us gamers will be set forever... we will never see daylight again...
Well if they made 360 games for download you would have a good 10GB used with that 1 game, and the way to solve all of your disk problems...... DONT BE A MORON keep your disks in there case dont drop them, the only time i scrached a disk in the past 4 years is when i turned my 360 with the disk in it and playing, the game still works but it was scrachedgame_boy286
Taking care of your disks means nothing... I have no scratches on any of my disks and I sometimes get disk errors...

Well, this meen your 360 is gunna have red rings, how commenly the disk error happens will indicate how soon it will happen to you it happend to me, and because of it i now have a 360 that had hardware updats so i have a lower chance of it breaking (my 360 went out back in augist and i got a new one under warrenty)

Wow, way to go there, implying the TC is a moron. Where do you get off doing that? Maybe his disc drive is going bad and his discs arent scratched. Maybe he does take care of his games. I, too, take care of mine, and there is one particular game that gives me trouble loading...its not scratched and all my others work fine. Or maybe he is talking about buying used games, you know you have no control over the scratches on those.
And the games would not be 10GB for one game. Im not sure if the 360 games are dual layer DVDs or not, but if so, the most they would be is around 9GB, but most would be smaller than that. Add compression, and Im sure they could get the number around 5 if they tried.
Anyway, the TC was just saying it would be cool, and I agree. A Steam-esque service would be very awesome, but would require a larger hard drive, definately.

1. Learn to spell.
2. the disc read errors have nothing in common with the RROD usually. The RROD is due to the 360 overheating, not the disc drive being bad (though I guess it is possible thedrive could malfunction due to overheating).
3. About number 1, dont say this is the internet and grammar doesnt matter. It does. get over it.
Downloadable games is the future, but it will still be a bit. The thing is that stores like Gamestop and Best Buy don't like downloadable stuff because people aren't buying from them. The only way these stores let it happen is if the games cost the same online versus the disc. So, most people will buy the disc since you can resell it later.
Look at Warhawk on the PS3. The stores got a $60 version with a headset and the online version was $40. A lot of people bought the online version because it was cheaper. Gamestop got mad, returned all copies of Warhawk unless Sony would release a $40 disc version too. Sony wanted the game in Gamestop, so they came out with a $40 version.
