When I first saw the XBOX originals, I thought it was a pretty cool addition to the marketplace and was considering getting one. But then I read some things about it on one of the ad's and it said there was no achievements!!! Thats what made me not get it because come on, everyone loves getting achievements. Another thing I read was that the sound doesn't come in well either, so I'm just checking to see what everyone elses opinions are on this topic. Was XBOX originals a good move?
Xbox Originals are basically the same thing as putting in your Xbox game in the Xbox 360. They are emulated and so certain things do not work as they would have done on the Xbox. This can be sound, graphics or a combination of both in most instances. Since, they're directly use the original code of the game, it is not possible to implent achievements.

No people are too stupid to go buy the real game when it is in plenty of supply. Games like JSRF or Panzer Dragoon Orta should be the games people buy. Why you may ask? Because they are hard to find. If Microsoft gets JSRF on the xbox Originals i will probably get it because i've been wanting it, but can't find it.
The people who go out and buy Halo or Fable and just plain stupid. Firstly you can go buy Fable the Lost Chapters (which i think works B/C) and you can find both games for cheaper then $15.
I don't know what I think. I know I wont bother. No HD or widescreen either. It would look like garbage on my TV. They should have tried to port some more classic games on arcade instead.
depends. if your like me and you live a long way from a big city then its great to get games that you can only get usedbut if you live up the road from gamestop, game crazy, ETC. then it would be rather pointless
i rather pay $15 to play halo than buy is at gamestop for $30 and yes its $30 at my neightborhood gamestop. its just a add to the marketplace, is an option. you dont have to get it. so really its not considered a move. just like the HD-DVD add on
some xbox games are now unavailible, no one's ordering in anymore, this is an opportunity for EVERYONE in the world to get the game they want, no no, this is not a bad move, besides, if u have small Harddrive and later want to upgrade, the purchased is permanent and ur always able to re-download the game.
