Free (basically guaranteed prizes if you get registered) prizes for playing video games, can't remember that ever happening before. I'll take whatever man.... well, except Bomberman Zero, anything but that game.

I went out and rented NHL and College Hoops 2K6. I figured an hour and a half of my life is worth two free games (though I value Contra more than FFII).
I was planning on signing up tomorrow afternoon but since its pretty late already I might as well stay up and see if I can be on of the first to sign up.

Looking back, FFII made Fuzion Frenzy look so much cooler than it actually is. It looks too much like Final Fantasy for it to be allowed to have that abbreviation.
I already have Contra, and don't really need an Old Spice T-shirt (???) but I'm going to try and get a quick 1500 points because I'm sure Fuzion Frenzy 2 will go fast. I don't expect anything of it really, but it's good trade-in fodder towards GTA IV or another worthwhile upcoming release.

I don't get why people are complaining. Sure the prizes might not be groundbreaking, but you don't have to pay anything extra or anything. You just sign up 'n play your games like you normally would, then get prizes. You don't lose anything if you don't make it, 'n it doesn't hurt anyone. I personally think this is a great idea. 'n It's probably just the begining, I'm sure they'll have more of these types of contests with better prizes down the road. You guys have to realize that MS is trying something completely new 'n they are testing the waters.
Anyways, even tho the games might not be amazing, it's free. So who cares? Why cry?

Just to clarify, if I have a 6000 Gamerscore, does that mean I automatically qualify for the Level 2 prizes--so I basically have to do nothing but register? Or do you have to increase your Gamerscore by 1500 points in 2 months to qualify? I'm just not clear on the difference, if any, between the "Participation" and "Challenge 1" level requirements for prizes.
I'm giving them until 12:10 then I'm heading to bed. It's down right Coastism if they put that site up when it's midnight on the West coast instead of here... But that would be cash-money for the people in Hawaii I guess...

Your gamerscore now puts you into whatever level. That level determines what prizes you win once you've registered and then earned your 1500 points. Notice that if you're in level 2 and win this first contest one of the prizes is being automatically bumped up to level 3. Because of that, it seems to me that there are going to be more contests similar to this one.

Your prizes are determined by your gamerscore at this moment. Then you have to increase that score by 1500 in 2 months. so you would get Level 2 rewards based on your 6000 gamerscore, as long as you got 7500 by april 12 Anyways, looks like MS is having fun screwing around with us on sign up times. My bet is 1:23 pm eastern time will be the signup. Have fun waiting up all night to sign up for this.

I wonder how that will work. If I get the necessary points to win the prize, I will pretty much be over the next level.
Well, I have 650 easy points to get in Fight Night 3 and 200 more points in Madden 06 I never got around to finishing. From there, I figure just finishing up Gears of War and a few others will net me the rest of the 700 points I need.

It's an OK game overall, though. -=Mike True True. I'm gonna be playing NBA Live 06 since I only have one achievement for that game. Also PGR3 is a good way of boosting up your GS if you are good at drifting and love racing games. Full Auto is the last game I could think of for easy points.

Yes, supplies are limited - hopefully I'll be able to get the game if I can get the 1500 points within a few days. When it comes to free stuff online, it tends to go very quickly.

It's an OK game overall, though. -=Mike I wasn't going to mention it, but I also own PGR3, Rainbow Six: Vegas, The Outfit, Call of Duty 3, Viva Pinata, and F.E.A.R. and those are all at 0 points. I just rented Open Season to get the 1000 part done really fast..(I own a PS3 and Wii, too....so many games to finish....)
