yeah wii can web browse and suprisingly works really well. i hear what ur saying about yeah its a game console blah blah but i use it say if im stuck and need to look up a cheat code and dont wanna go all the way upstairs to the computer
Awww... you used the whole cheat code crap. I've figured out (when i ddin't need to figure out because i already knew) that using a console is actual more of a hassle to use to get a cheat code or a guide.
Using a CONSOLE
Say you need to check out a cheat code or guide. That means you must exit your game (hope it saves were you are or you get to start from the last checkpoint), then start up the web browser, then (hopefully you have a usb keyboard) you get to type in the website whick takes way longer on a controller, then you get to navigate the web page (which is usually harder on a console... unless you use a Wii), the find the cheat or the guide (write down what you need... it works better for cheat codes because writing down a guide would suck), then exit the browser, start the game, and find out if you got the cheat code wrong or not (oh yea and get back to where you were before). If you get the code wrong... have fun doing ALL that over again.
Using a PC
You pause your game (which removes having to get back to that place in ANY game). Turn on the computer (unless your like me and have your system on all the time), start the browser, type in the page (unless you never use a keyboard you should be much faster than a controller), navigate the site to the guide or cheat. Then if you really want to (you know to save time) HIT THE PRINT BUTTON (then you never need to go back or mess up a cheat or anything....). Then you go back to your game and there you are... ready and set and no chance of having to go back (for any more cheats, guides, or mess ups unless THE SITE messed up the cheat).
Now both can take ruffly the same time (unless the PC is on and then it takes probably half), but even though it may take the same time you get everything. And then you have no need to go back the site ever. Plus if you want to check out something else while your at it you can do it within seconds on a PC rather than minutes on the console.
I have a Wii... I have used the browser mabye 2 times. To see how it was and because i heard about G4 making a special Wii site/page. I have never used it again (and i do have a USB Keyboard so it is easy to type and all that).
