Okay, so I have a 4GB Slim that keeps losing connection to Xbox Live for some reason. Like I turn it on and it is connected, then 10-20 minutes into playing it kicks me out of my party and says I've lost connection. From there I can restart the Xbox, which just restarts the cycle like before- or I can go to network settings and test the connection, which logs me out, then says it has good connection, and then I can play for another 10-20 minutes before being kicked.

- It's not the ISP or the Router, as two other people have brought over their Xboxs over and had no problems at all

I'm thinking it may be a hardware problem or something, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knew how to fix it..

Could be a hardware issue. Is it wired or wireless? try the opposite of what you are doing now and see if you get the same problem. You could also try assigning a static IP address to the device, just make sure it's outside the DHCP scope of you router. I would try this to start off with.

I think it's XBL not your system because i have had and several of my friends have had the same problem lately. As a guess could be a cyper attack against them, or they are working on XBL.

I would unplug your xbox for like 30 seconds then plug it back in. Works for me.

The same thing was happening to me after the latest xbox update. I reset the network settings and now it's working fine.

If you're using a router, try bypassing it and going straight to the modem, just to rule the router out as the possible culprit.. Also, my son has been complaining about Live disconnecting him too, so it may be an issue with Live...
