So i was playing COD4 on Live, when all of a sudden i get this greenish tint.

I turn off the xbox then back on, no audio no video output was recognized by the TV, with NO ERROR CODE !

I read something about the scaler chip , and over heating the machine would fix it.

Indeed it did fix it........... but once i play cod4 and only cod4 !!! I get the greenish tint back again..........

If i keep on playing the tint disappears, and the box turns off and back on normally.

I live in Lebanon, and we have no microsoft services in here, but i can arrange shipping it for repair ...... any advice guys ?

shall i send it for repair abroad, or just................. play on hoping its a temporary problem

I own an elite system, highly ventilated by a cooling base with an external power source........ and all the cables have spaces, nothing jammed or pulled.

Im thankful for any advices.

Welp, that one is new. I've never heard of that, but it sounds like possibly the graphics card is overheating and distorting the image. I would call and try to get it repaired/replaced, because I know that would annoy the spitfire outta me.

Yeah, I think I know what it is. You might have brushed something magnetic against the TV. This happened to me one time...had to buy a new TV.

Also, are you using an analog connection? (component/VGA) If you are, make sure there's nothing close by that could be causing interference, like something magnetic.

That's the unbridled power of the 360, brother! Embrace it! :P Honestly I've never heard green colour. Other colours sure, but not green. Sorry.

I have resently experienced this same problem.

One day i was playing halo 3, got off came back about 1 hr later and when i turnedmy 360 on it had a greenish-yellowish tint.

At first i thought it my cable may ot be plugged in properly, after confirming it was i thought it might be the TV however b/c i changed tvs only to still face the problem i figured it must be the console.

I didnt know what caused it or how to fix it but thanx to you guys i have an idea....

I've had that problem with a CRT TV when my young kids were playing with magnets on it. But I never had that problem with a LCD HD TV. Is this problem only related to tube televisions?

this happened to my 360 before it died. If the greenish tint goes to to other colors, and a jumble of lines you have a few hours left with the 360. I bought a new a/v cable and that wasnt it. Then my 360 red ringed. Could be a totally different problem though.

I suggest trying your xbox on another TV. If the same problem persists, send it for repair. If not get a new Tv.

Have you tried switching the cables? Maybe there's a fault with them? Otherwise, if it stays that way, i would send it in for repairs.

If you're TV is a standard television then maybe there was some magnetic interference, that happened once on my old TV. If it's an LCD TV that is either HD ready or Full HD then I don't know how to help you. Try it on a different TV to check.

It sounds like your tv is on its way out.
