hello again folks,

just wondering if it is possible to plug in an regular USB HD to the xbox360 or am I forced to purchase the propriatery MS Xbox360 HD? Thanks again for reading my post. May your day be filled with mirth.

You may be able to to look at pictures and listen to music and videos and stuff. As for saving games, you can't use a USB hard drive. You need the 360 hard drive.

Can I not use the memory stick for that instead? The 360HD is hugely overpriced.

You can use a 360 memory stick if that's what you mean. You cannot use a USB hard-drive or flash drive for game saves or content downloads however.
