Xbox360 help!!!

My 360 got the rrod and microsoft sent me another one. When u get a new 360 u have to redownload everything from xbox live. so i did that but nothing works unless im signed into xbox live. i dont have a gold membership. so basically all the games and themes i paid for cannot be used unless im signed into xbox live. it wasnt like that before. now all the games i paid for it says that they're only trial games. does this mean i need xbox live gold to play them without being signed in?? cuz when they sent me the new xbox they gave me a month free of xbox live gold. and now its expired and i cant play any of my games unless im signed in. it was never like this before and it really pisses me off!!!! has this happened to anyone

i did redownload everthing and the problem is i cant play any of them unless im signed in to xbox live. my internet is far from my 360 so i rarely go online. so to have to be signed into xbox live to play games that i paid for is extremely annoying. it wasnt like that before.

Did you just redownload everything, or did you actually do the liscense transfer from the site?
