I've looked around but cannot find a straight answer.

My Girlfriend and I want to play games together on the XBOX360 and found out the hard way there there aren't alot of good or many at all other than FPS's that we can accomplish this with.

I kept seeing this "system link" option in some of the games we have. Ideally I HOPED that this meant we could play 2 player coop or similar on 1 TV with 2 XBOX360's. The more I read it sounds like you need 2 TV's and 2 XBOX360's to actually achive this.

SO My question is... Are there any games (or is it possible) to play on the same TV with system link?

A game or games that we'd like to do this on would be Crackdown and or GTA 4. Running around (together) on 1 big ass screen coop like.

We have a 60inch plasma we'd like to play on together... and it clearly wouldn't be reasonable to buy another 60inch plasma and an additional XOBOX360 to play multiplayer.

Thanks for your time,

Breeze.

Funny and costly reading:

We race out and buy the PS3 so we can entartain ourselfs more than jsut in the sack.

(Dish out almost $1000 when all was said and done... look at the game selection... mainly all 1 player and another 2 player is online only, WTF?)

So we toss it in the closet and run out and buy a XBOX360 (it has to be more multiplayer friendly and has more games... cool... or not... same problem.

(Another $1000 or so... we still play it but all the BEST games we can't... end up playing bejeweled or some tetris, which is ghey for $1000)

As if that wasn't enough to learn by... we go out and buy the Wii and a couple games... now I'm feeling truly stupid and ripped off. If not for spending the money... for doing it three times, lol.

(Add on another $700 to my total with accessories and such and still nothing we can actually have FUN playing TOGETHER other than hide the sausage... which is great but... not the point here.)

Oh... and I won't even get into the computer systems we have. This seems to be our only means of accomplishing what we want but... it's not on a 60inch plasma :(

Anyone have any suggestions, have the same problem, solved the issue?

Thanks again!

Wow.

First of all, System Link does as it implies. Links systems together. Consider a 'System' as an X-Box/X-Box 360 and the TV it is connected to. Each needs its own TV.

As to finding fun co-op games to play, there are actually a lot to play, especially considering original X-Box games as well. It depends more on the type of games you are looking for. A lot of FPS games have co-op, as you pointed out. There are many sports/racing games that do as well. Some 'party' games. Too many to list. It depends on what you are looking for.

Halo 3 has co op, gears of war has co op, lots of racing games have co op. System link isn't what you want to do.... a system link is a match between two connected xboxs..thats not good. you need two xboxs and two tvs. just sign and one of you invite one to the lobby or game.

If you want to play co-op split screen, most FPS's are capable of that. You only need one console for that.

You bought a PS3 and a Wii too? You need 2 TV's and 2 360's for system link. A TV for each system.

Gears, but I guess that's a TPS. It's still good co-op though.

Thank you all for your time and replies.

As for what exactly we're looking for in a game...

I guess mainly some sort of adventure\arcade style game but not strictly this either.

FPS's are out.

Racing we both like but it gets old "just" racing. I'm not aware of any racing games that allow you to race together and upgrade your vehicles together or just roam around doing random stuff... not just race\load\race\load.

I guess in a nut shell we are looking for something immersive and fun, something we can play for hours and "virtually" accomplish something.

Thanks again.
