HD-DVD internal drive / HD_DVD games to be replacing DVD9 format?

I think its impossible for them to release Hd-dvd games i mean for them to reach all xbox-360 owners they would have to ship 20million(by 2009, thats reasonable) hd-dvd add-ons which imo is logistically to me impossible. Its probably just going to be movies. Toshiba wants Microsoft to help them in the format war and this probably makes sense.

I mean hd-dvd drives right now are already almost $200 in 2009 they could be $100 which wouldnt add that much to the xbox 360's price. It makes sense just from a value perspective by 2009 the ps3 will probably be $300 and the 360 what? $250? i mean for 50$ you can get a blu-ray player and internal wifi if they release this it might combat the perception that the ps3 would be a totally better value.

of course it would still be safe, it's only hit CES, they didn't mention anything about release in the market just yet. Surely, u don't want to wait a year or two for a console

to be honest i think microsoft are taking the piss if they release anything like that! they have alredy released the elite which i bought a few weeks ago....so bringing out another console is a joke! they are really going to annoy millions of people by releasing this...suddenly bringing out a 360 with games that original 360 fans and owners cant even play!!!! they better not bring this out, they shud have thought of it earlier or leave it for their nxt console connor1989

i dont think thats a very good idea...

think of all the current 360 owners ur screwing. millions of 360 fans would have to go get a brand new 360 or suffer not havin any new games... the only time that flies with gamers is when they announce the next generation of thier console (the next Xbox) which is actually a good idea.

they should probably wait a few more years (u know get all the infamous errors out of the system) and rename it to be their next generation of gaming... who knows?
