^^o iight then....only tvs tha go 2 1080P are 40 inches n above so if u dnt have a 40 inch tv u wont have 1080P  i dnt think they have full hd on anything lower yet so if u have somethin lower tha doesnt go 2 1080P then the HDMI wont really do much cuz it will still be 1080I n tha can be resacehd by both components and vga cables

If the HD tv is under 40in, then 720p through component is perfectly fine. Above that you'll notice a little difference but 720p still will look great

Playing the 360 on a SDTV is like watching sports on SDTV.  If you've never seen it on HD you will be fine, but if you have seen it in HD then your eyes will hurt.

Just get the premium. No point in getting the core.

I have a 32" TV running in 720p and it looks great. I could run it in 1080i, but what would be the point, you know? I won't see any difference and it won't make my game play better.

The cable with the Premium has both Left and Right Audio, Video, and R,G,B, video. So it has both Composite and Component.

No offense to anyone, but in my opinion, 1080p is overrated.

I mean, if you spend all that money getting a TV that's capable of 1080p, you might as well get the 360E with HDMI.

You know most tvs still don't accept 1080p over component, except for samsungs I hear, so it's still rare, I'm in the market for a new rear projection and some of the best options don't even let you do 1080p over VGA either. So depending on the tv,  rough guess that 75% out there would need HDMI for 1080p

For games, 1080p can be overated, but no matter what source, once you have a tv that's 60inches or larger and sit 10 feet away, it's nice to have.

You're right, 1080i wouldn't make much of a difference since your LCD 32inch (assuming that) can't display 1080i, it would just convert it to the LCD's native progressive resolution, usually 1366*768 (768p), it could end up making games worse going to 1080i. Only progressive screen that can actually fully show 1080i is a 1080p screen.

Unless you have a 32inch Tube CRT HDTV, then that would probably be 1080i display, while 720p is either converted to 1080i or to 540p, unless you have rare CRT that can actually do both, most are 540p/1080i even if they accept 720p.
