XBoXlive problem/question

I am trying to sign up for netflix that came with the new update however a problem occured in signing up. When it comes to the point of the activation code it wants me to go on my computer and put the code in however i am unable to use the internet when i am signed in to Xboxlive. I dont know if i need a router or how to solve this issue. i have DSL by the way.

i meant DSL is the type of internet i have so people could get an idea of what type of modem i have. I dont have a router i dont know if that is the problem or what

Then just write the code down, sign out of live, connect to Netflix on your computer, put the code in, then sign back into live. You shouldn't have a problem.

But you should really look into getting a router.

I have tried this now a few times yet it still wont work is there any way i can have both my computer and my xbox connected without a router
