So have naturally ordered Halo 3 collectors edition and i have also ordered assasins creed limited edition aswell.

But i also kinda want Bioshock and Mass Effect.

It would really help with any answer and please vote on the poll.

I would prioritize them in this order:
1.  Mass Effect: it will change the face of the industry.
2.  Halo 3: cause even if it is more of the same, YOU HAVE TO GET IT!
3.  Assasin's Creed: looks awesome, but get it after the first 2
4.  Bioshock: I really want this game, but it does look like it could be an acquired taste...

Collector/limited edition are big waste of money. Cancel it, especially Halo3 because it's the most expensive collector edition ever, and you can buy all the game you want and enjoy them with out having extra junk from those collector edition.

by norwegian price in dollars its like only 10 $ more for collectors edition(taken with the fact that its cheaper in USA). also my mother would freak if i bought an 18+ game which is mass effect and in which i will have to buy collectors (yeah i know its a pathetic way to hide the 18+ crap and i anyway like collectors editions)

(P.S europe has given mass effect and bioshock 18+ and my mom is VEEERY strict with games and similar stuff)

I don't think you can exactly categorize it as anything.  It's an action/adventure/rpg/shooter, which is why I think it looks so brilliant.  The amount of freedom you have to affect the outcome of the game looks unprecedented.  I could be wrong.  I've been disappointed before, but I don't see anything else coming out that looks as innovative as Mass Effect.

Absolutely.  I will buy a limited edition when it features an IN-GAME difference.  Do you really need the goofy Halo 3 motorcycle helmet?

...T.B.Y.B = Think Before You Buy...

Let's break it down... Assasin's Creed...supposedly 40 hour plus and it's a one player game... does that merit a purchase on release day? In my opinion, HELL YES.

BioShock....reading forums, listening to people, it's a 10 hour game... does that merit a store priced purchase of 40 pounds, 60 dollars... In my opinion HELL NO... because...and we've all been there at one stage of our lives... when you've finished it, you'll think to yourself... "I spent 40 pounds (60 Dollars) on this?" Ideal solution... Ebay a few weeks later (Like you'll be bored) and get it for half the price.

Mass Effect.... 30 hours plus I've read...worth it? HELL YES, RPG, sci fi...great story, great game a game that looks like Value For Money...

Halo 3... crappy campaign (Like most shooters) but online Multiplayer that will probably sit in your 360 for a couple of months...worth it? If you like "brainless" shooters, then HELL YES, it's worth it.

I am sooooo glad I have grown up and become wise over my choices of purchases... you may all be looking at my gamertag and see King Kong...but that only cost 5 pounds from ToysRUs...worth it? HELL NO... but my dad bought it, I am trying to play through one level a day...

My brother (God knows how) played through the whole game in about 7 hours... got his 1000 points and will probably never touch it again.

I'm definately getting halo 3 and assassin's creed, if I have extra money I'll buy Bioshock, but I don't plan on buying mass effect. It just seems too...star-trek for me and that's not really the type of game I want.

Get your facts straight or GTFO

Nothing at all hints on a 10 hour game. It was said to be 20 hours +

Besides, TC will get some nice packages with the Bioshock LE.

wow such flamingly nice reply, 20 hours is ALSO little. But i can't say the game will suck, and nobody can actually determine the total lasting value of the game since the full version ISN'T out yet.

:), Lets just say I'm pretty die hard on the game. If you look at a lot o fthe interviews and at actual achievements or even the demonstrations, the devs continuously explain that (like many other FPS/RPG hybrids) the game is going to have unbelievable replay. Playing through the game twice isn't going to be rare at all (and if its 20 + one time...) Plus we have the same developers that created System shock 2 (this is after all a spiritual succesor) and if that game taught us anything about hte developers, its that they are very much serious with singleplayer.

The other games are great and all but think of it this way. Bioshock comes out Aug 21. That game WILL last you a very long time just because of the sheer oppurtunities it possess (if you watched demonstrations of the gameplay mechanics, you'll understand the vast things you can do in that game. I for one like grabbing hats off my enemies, lighting the hats on fire, and throwing them back at the enemy so he catches on fire, only for him to run into some water so that he extinguishes himself but then i electricute the water so he dies). Game lasts you a great time and by the time the other games come out, you'll be rather satisfied.

lol, so much anger... I'm only going by what I've read on forums and listening to other people... I will make my decision based on more information when it's availible, namely a review or two.

So far, from what I know, Bioshock seems like a second hand purchase to me. According to Game.co.uk (I'm in England right now...we have a lot of rain...an awful lot) Blue Dragon and Bioshock are being released on the same day...now personally I prefer Blue Dragon... that will keep me busy for a few weeks, so I'll purchase Blue Dragon first, then shop around for Bioshock...hmmm then there's Two Worlds... released a week later... so many games :D

i guess i just like collectors editions because of the cover, the label, and the extra two discs that comes with i guess.

and with assasins creed its basically the same price
