your 360's age?

my 360 is just 2months old and its my first one. it red ringed on me last night! i heard an average 360 lifespan is 7 months?

any truth in this?

1st Xbox -2yrs and 4 months-1 RR

my old premium is Feb '06, which is now my brothers

my new aracde is 18th Oct 2008

so its not even 3 months old

I got my first xbox 360 since launch day and it got is first RROD last feb. Changed for a second and hopefully, it will last a very long time.

My 360 is about a 1 years old as of Christmas, no RROD's yet but I did experience another hardware failure in which I had to send it in on December 22, three days before my warranty expired. Star-Killer

33% failure rate was the estimatem whhen the console first popped up, since they've updated the chipset it could well be lower

to be honest ive only run into red light once on an old console that was made in 2006, and that i think was because i was playing like crazy, if you wanna avoid red light give the dam thing a break now and then any consolve will die if you over do it,,,or buy the intercooler :p

hehehe. cool.. so the bottom line is take care of it and it'll last longer than 7months, right?

i really hope mine lasts more than that coz theres no microsoft costumer care here.. in the philippines. where "sony" fanboys are.

I'm on my third xbox 360 and it's lasted me 17 months.

im on my 2nd xbox

Xbox 360 has someting of a 33% failure rate. I forgot where I read this information but that by know means is anything to brag about. Hush, hush, Microsoft. I've had to replace two of my systems in the last four years. Seven of my friends all at some point have had to replace their systems as well. All I can suggest to you is keep your system in a well ventilated place, away from carpet, and dust when needed. Other then that, well....anything can happen. are you playing for like 8 hours a day. thats what i always wondered with the rrod. does it come from one playing to much that your putting so much stress on the system. i probrably play an 1 to 2 hours like every two days if im lucky. ive had my 360 for about a year and a half. it doesnt make any loud noises and i havent had any problems with it. just curious is someone can answer my question?
